The baby chicks are here!

We got our baby chicks yesterday! We have a luxury chicken house in the basement (just a repurposed stock tank with a homemade lid, but to a chicken it will be paradise!) but it is WAY too big for them currently. I forgot how tiny chicks are, and how much heat they need! For now they'll be living in a cardboard box in our bathroom, which (thanks to their heat lamp) currently feels like a sauna. I'm glad that we're doing this in April and not in July or August!
